Gcash a mobile wallet backed by Globe and a platform for deliveries and transportation, Grab, has joined to relieve its users of transfer costs.
According to the cooperation, Grab users will soon be able to use GCash as a payment mechanism for transactions involving GrabCar, GrabFood, GrabMart, GrabExpress, and other Grab services, according to a statement released by GCash on Thursday, January 26, 2023.
By the end of February, GCash stated, it will formally be accepted as a means of payment on the Grab platform.
Transfer costs, which may be as high as P50 per transaction, are expected to be eliminated for both GCash and Grab users as a result of their cooperation.
The president and CEO of GCash, Martha Sazon, said, “With this agreement, we once again realize our mission to make the lives of Filipinos better every day by giving a more convenient, secure, and affordable way to pay for their rides and food and grocery deliveries.”
