After correctly predicting the winning six-digit combination of the Lotto 6/42 draw on Tuesday night, a bettor in Metro Manila instantly became a millionaire.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced in a statement on Wednesday that the bettor correctly predicted the winning combination, which was 31-41-29-25-20-08, and carried a total jackpot payout of PHP25,490,659. The jackpot was won by a single player for the seventh time in January, while another six times it was split between two players.
When the winning ticket and two forms of identification are shown, the bettor can pick up the check from the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City.
A 20% tax will be applied to lottery wins over PHP10,000 under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law.
Prizes that are not redeemed within a year are forfeited.
