SSS Guide: Contributions, Benefits, Loans and Pension

TL;DR: This SSS guide puts every WisePH SSS article in one place, grouped by what you need. New members should start with how contributions are computed and how to set up My.SSS. After that, jump to your member type, the benefit you want to claim, an SSS loan, or your retirement pension. Each link opens a full step-by-step guide.

Start here if you are new to SSS

Most SSS problems start with two things: not knowing what your deduction pays for, and not having a working My.SSS account. So read these first, before you need a loan or a benefit.

Find your guide by member type

Your membership type decides how you pay and what you can claim. However, the rules for employees, freelancers and OFWs are not the same.

SSS benefits you can claim

These benefits come from the same contributions. Therefore, check that your posted months are complete before you file.

SSS loans

SSS has a different loan for each situation, and each one has its own rules on who can borrow. Meanwhile, the loan balance you already have affects what you can take next.

Retirement and pension

Your pension depends on your years of contributions and your salary credit. So the earlier you check, the more time you have to fix gaps.
