Effective Tuesday, July 28, 2026, diesel went up ₱7.30 per liter, gasoline went up ₱6.80 and kerosene went up ₱4.20, based on Shell's announcement.
The Department of Energy reported the range across all oil companies in its weekly Oil Monitor: diesel increase of ₱7.30 to ₱7.32, gasoline increase of ₱6.80, kerosene increase of ₱4.20 to ₱4.22 per liter. The figures above fall within it.
Why prices moved: Dubai crude rose about $10.30 a barrel. International gasoline rose about $14.00 a barrel, diesel rose about $15.00 and kerosene rose about $10.00. The peso weakened from ₱61.63 to ₱61.75 per US dollar, which makes imported fuel more expensive. (Trading week of July 20 to 24, 2026; figures from the Department of Energy's Oil Monitor.)
The week before (July 21, 2026), diesel went up ₱10.68 per liter, gasoline went up ₱3.65 and kerosene went up ₱11.77. By July 28, 2026, gasoline had gone up 3 weeks in a row, diesel had gone up 3 weeks in a row and kerosene had gone up 3 weeks in a row. From January 1 to this week, the Department of Energy counted 30 price adjustments, leaving gasoline up a net ₱56.72, diesel up a net ₱57.75 and kerosene up a net ₱52.61 per liter. For a 40-liter gasoline fill-up, that meant ₱272.00 more; for a 60-liter diesel tank, ₱438.00 more.
