“Sold in Cavite.” That was the first message in my cousin’s group chat after the Ultra Lotto draw on November 30, 2025. Three voice notes followed before the PCSO page even finished loading, all saying the same thing: the outlet is past the toll, go early.
The facts, though, were simpler. One ticket, bought in General Trias, Cavite, matched all six numbers for ₱155,223,593. Of course, nobody in our line knew the winner. Still, the chat spent the whole evening guessing.

Yes, 51 times as of October 22, 2026. The last win was the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw on October 16. Since then, every jackpot has kept rolling. Each card below comes from our draw records, checked against four results sources. The places come from PCSO’s own announcements.

As it turns out, most of these wins happened at the bottom of the jackpot ladder. Lotto 6/42 alone produced 18 of the 51, and seven of those were won at the starting jackpot. Meanwhile, Ultra Lotto paid out only three times all year. That pattern makes sense once you look at the odds. Lotto 6/42 has 5,245,786 possible combinations, while Ultra 6/58 has 40,475,358. The poster number is not the amount anyone took home
A jackpot winner takes home less than the advertised amount. First, PCSO divides the jackpot among all winning tickets. Then it withholds the 20% final tax on the whole share, since every jackpot is far above the ₱10,000 tax-free limit. After that, whatever remains goes to the winner.

I first learned this from watching the chat get it wrong out loud. After one big draw, someone posted the poster figure with “solb na.” A regular answered with a voice note doing the math backwards: two winners, so each gets the full amount, tax already inside. My cousin typed the correction once and left it there. Nobody replied. The next message was already about the outlet.
However, the split gets dramatic when many people play the same combination. On May 5, 2026, ten tickets matched the Ultra Lotto numbers 01-58-25-43-26-16. That ₱76.3 million jackpot works out to about ₱7.63 million per ticket, so roughly ₱6.1 million each after tax. Still life-changing. Just nowhere near the poster.
Saan nabili? How to check where a winning ticket was sold
First, check PCSO’s announcement, not the group chat. After a jackpot, PCSO names the town or province where the winning ticket was bought, usually the same night or the next morning. However, it does not name the winner. If a message names a barangay, a store or a person that PCSO never mentioned, treat it as a guess.
Listen for one small word: “raw.” When someone writes “sa Cavite raw,” the source is the chat, not PCSO. By the next morning, that guess usually has a story attached, and the story is often wrong.
That is also why this page never repeats local talk, even with a “rumor” label. After all, people screenshot the label off and forward the rest. So the rule here stays simple. We publish the town only when a verified report names it, and we never name or describe a winner.
What the group chat gets wrong about jackpots
The myths do not stop when someone wins. In fact, a few of them start the very next morning.
“Mainit ang outlet”
After the Cavite win, two regulars at my cousin’s sari-sari said that booth was “mainit” and would hit again soon. One rode there two days later, stood in a shorter line, bought a ticket, and lost. Afterward, he told the chat the place had cooled. However, an outlet does not keep a streak. Every draw carries the same odds, whoever sold the last winner.
“The jackpot goes back to zero”
People say this the morning after a win, as if the next draw is not worth a ticket. In reality, the jackpot restarts at the game’s minimum, which is still millions. Since February 1, 2026, those minimums are ₱75 million for Ultra, ₱45 million for Grand, ₱25 million for Super, ₱15 million for Mega and ₱10 million for Lotto 6/42. Our teller answers that sentence with “may minimum pa rin,” then takes the bet anyway.
Big jackpots draw bigger lines, not better odds
The longest line I saw, though, came during the 2023 holidays. PCSO had raised the Grand Lotto pot to ₱500 million in mid-December, and it kept growing past ₱584 million by December 30. Meanwhile, at our wet-market outlet, the Grand queue reached the sidewalk by 8:30 PM. Two Swertres-only regulars each bought a single ₱20 ticket, the price back then.
Then four others wanted to pool ₱50 each on one set of numbers. The teller explained that one ticket has one holder, so three of them would have to trust whoever kept the paper. Instead, they bought four separate tickets and photographed them in the parking area. None hit. By the next draw, only one of the four came back.
My cousin has his own rule for these weeks: one Ultra ticket when the jackpot passes ₱500 million, then back to his usual budget. Ultra’s jackpot stood at ₱420.2 million after the October 20 draw, according to our Ultra Lotto 6/58 results page.
System bets almost never show up at our counter, either. A System 8 on any major game covers 28 combinations, so at ₱25 a line it costs ₱700. Won a jackpot? What to do in the first week and the first year
Claim it quietly, learn your exact net amount, and lock away a year of living expenses before you spend anything. PCSO pays jackpots only at its main office in Mandaluyong City. You need the original ticket and two valid IDs, and you have one year from the draw date to claim.
- Before the claim: tell no one, promise no shares, and keep the original ticket somewhere safer than your wallet. Also, pay no “processing fee” to anyone.

- After the check clears: compute the net once. Then set aside enough to cover a full year of ordinary expenses.
- Then wait: put the rest somewhere a group-chat request cannot move it, like a time deposit or Pag-IBIG MP2.
A smaller windfall I watched go wrong
I have seen a smaller version of this play out. For example, in 2022, a neighbor of my cousin’s received about ₱700,000 as his share of a parent’s estate. In the first month, he paid off a motorcycle loan and gave ₱50,000 each to two siblings who had not even asked yet. By the end of the year, the rest had gone into a sari-sari expansion that never matched the old store’s sales, plus two “short-term” loans to relatives that were not short. By the next summer, he was asking about SSS contributions again.
