Effective Tuesday, September 15, 2026, diesel went up ₱4.31 per liter, gasoline went up ₱5.68 and kerosene went up ₱4.62, as announced by the oil companies.
The Department of Energy reported the range across all oil companies in its weekly Oil Monitor: diesel increase of ₱4.00 to ₱4.40, gasoline increase of ₱5.00 to ₱5.70, kerosene increase of ₱4.60 to ₱4.62 per liter. The figures above fall within it.
Why prices moved: Dubai crude rose about $16.00 a barrel. International gasoline rose about $12.40 a barrel and diesel rose about $10.00. The peso weakened from ₱62.48 to ₱62.60 per US dollar, which makes imported fuel more expensive. (Trading week of September 7 to 11, 2026; figures from the Department of Energy's Oil Monitor.)
The week before (September 8, 2026), diesel went up ₱5.20 per liter, gasoline went up ₱4.70 and kerosene went up ₱5.60. By September 15, 2026, gasoline had gone up 2 weeks in a row, diesel had gone up 2 weeks in a row and kerosene had gone up 2 weeks in a row. From January 1 to this week, the Department of Energy counted 37 price adjustments, leaving gasoline up a net ₱65.02, diesel up a net ₱64.86 and kerosene up a net ₱58.07 per liter. For a 40-liter gasoline fill-up, that meant ₱227.20 more; for a 60-liter diesel tank, ₱258.60 more.
In Metro Manila that week, DOE monitoring found diesel from ₱87.71 to ₱102.00 per liter, RON 91 gasoline from ₱74.98 to ₱97.70 and RON 95 from ₱75.82 to ₱102.10 (DOE report).
