Effective Tuesday, September 22, 2026, diesel went up ₱8.82 per liter, gasoline went up ₱4.88 and kerosene went up ₱6.47, as announced by the oil companies.
The Department of Energy reported the range across all oil companies in its weekly Oil Monitor: diesel increase of ₱8.80 to ₱8.82, gasoline increase of ₱4.80 to ₱4.88, kerosene increase of ₱6.40 to ₱6.47 per liter. The figures above fall within it.
Why prices moved: Dubai crude rose about $8.50 a barrel. International gasoline rose about $9.50 a barrel and diesel rose about $18.60. The peso weakened from ₱62.60 to ₱62.78 per US dollar, which makes imported fuel more expensive. (Trading week of September 14 to 18, 2026; figures from the Department of Energy's Oil Monitor.)
The week before (September 15, 2026), diesel went up ₱4.31 per liter, gasoline went up ₱5.68 and kerosene went up ₱4.62. By September 22, 2026, gasoline had gone up 3 weeks in a row, diesel had gone up 3 weeks in a row and kerosene had gone up 3 weeks in a row. From January 1 to this week, the Department of Energy counted 38 price adjustments, leaving gasoline up a net ₱69.90, diesel up a net ₱73.68 and kerosene up a net ₱64.54 per liter. For a 40-liter gasoline fill-up, that meant ₱195.20 more; for a 60-liter diesel tank, ₱529.20 more.
In Metro Manila that week, DOE monitoring found diesel from ₱91.60 to ₱110.80 per liter, RON 91 gasoline from ₱78.06 to ₱102.50 and RON 95 from ₱78.56 to ₱104.50 (DOE report).
