How do I find my name in the passers list?
Open PRC’s passers PDF from the buttons above, then search for your full name. On a phone, use your browser’s “Find in page” option. If nothing shows up, try your surname alone. Also check the spelling PRC used.
Before the results come out
Before each release, the box at the top shows PRC’s target date. Until PRC posts the list, ignore any “results are out” screenshot or post. On release day, PRC posts the results on its website. The PDF buttons above then fill in by themselves.
For context, PRC released the December 2024 results one working day after the last exam day. For December 2025, PRC’s notice said the results came out immediately after the exam. Those were past releases, not a promise for the next one.
Latest results: December 2025 Aeronautical Engineers

Board of Aeronautical Engineering members: Engr. Ernesto B. Ferreras, Jr., Chairman and Engr. Redentor C. Malia, Member. For December 2025 passers, online registration opens January 30, 2026.
How the latest results compare
The passing rate moved up 10.14 points from December 2024. It is the highest rate in our records since December 2023. A year earlier, December 2024 posted 54.11%. 144 fewer examinees took this batch than December 2024.
Aeronautical engineer, aircraft mechanic, or pilot?
These are three different licenses for three different kinds of work. The titles sit next to each other in aviation talk, so people mix them up. Here is the split in one line each:
- Aeronautical engineer: a PRC license under Presidential Decree No. 1570. The job is engineering work on aircraft. That means planning, design, analysis, building, and maintenance of the body, engines, and parts.
- Aircraft maintenance technician: a separate license from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). CAAP calls it the AMT license, with airframe and powerplant ratings. It covers maintenance work under CAAP’s own rules.
- Pilot: a pilot license, also from CAAP and also separate. It is for flying the aircraft.
None of the three is a step toward another. PRC issues one license and CAAP issues the other two, each through its own exam. If you are still choosing a course, the neighboring engineering boards work the same way. See our mechanical engineer board exam results and chemical engineer board exam results. Each one has its own exam and its own list.
What does an aeronautical engineer’s license cover?
The decree has a section on what the work means. It covers planning, design, and analysis of aircraft. It also covers building, installing, changing, and maintaining the body, engines, and parts. Teaching the course in a school counts too.
Every licensed engineer also gets a seal. It reads “Aeronautical Engineer.” The seal goes on every sheet of their plans, specifications, and reports. That applies when the papers go to the government or are used for work (Section 25).
Section 28 adds a rule for companies. A company that designs, builds, or sells aircraft or aircraft parts needs an aeronautical engineer to certify or supervise that work.
Next aeronautical engineer board exam schedule
The next Aeronautical Engineers exam is scheduled for November 9 to 11, 2026, based on PRC's 2026 schedule of examinations. Applications open August 11, 2026 and close October 12, 2026. PRC targets releasing the results by November 13, 2026.
The decree sets the exam once a year (Section 15). PRC held it every December from 2023 to 2025. In 2026, it moved to November 9 to 11, as a computer-based exam, with a filing deadline of October 12. PRC also holds special exams abroad for Filipino workers there. One took place in Hong Kong in May 2026. If no date shows above yet, PRC has not posted the next schedule. It appears here by itself once PRC does.
Who can take the exam?
Section 14 of the decree sets five requirements. You need all five:
- At least 21 years of age.
- Filipino citizenship. A foreigner may apply only if Philippine law allows it for their country.
- Good moral character and reputation.
- A BS in Aeronautical Engineering from a school the government recognizes, or an equal course abroad.
- No conviction for a crime involving moral turpitude. That means a crime that shows dishonesty or bad character.
What is on the exam, and how is it scored?
The exam has six subjects over three days, and you need a 75% average with no subject below 50%. The decree first listed five subjects, but it lets the Board add more and change the weights. So the list below comes from PRC’s exam program for December 2024, not from the decree:
- Aerodynamics: 25%
- Aircraft structures and design: 20%
- Aircraft power plant (engines): 20%
- Aircraft construction, repair, and modification: 15%
- Mathematics: 10%
- Engineering economics and management, laws, and ethics: 10%
The passing rule is in Section 17. PRC’s December 2023 program had the same six subjects and weights.
If your name is not on the list
Start with the calendar. The schedule above shows the next exam and its filing deadline. With one regular exam a year, the next chance is about twelve months away.
Presidential Decree No. 1570 sets no limit on retakes. PRC’s notice for each exam has the current filing rules. Meanwhile, finish any missing requirements. Keep your documents ready for the next filing. Missing this list does not stop you from other work. If you are applying for jobs, the First Time Jobseekers Act lets first-time job seekers get many government documents free.
The pass rates of the last three regular exams are below.
How do I check if an aeronautical engineer is licensed?
Search PRC’s free online license check at verification.prc.gov.ph. Pick the profession and type the first and last name. Then check that the license is active. Our guide on what a PRC license covers explains the license itself. An engineer’s plans and reports also carry the “Aeronautical Engineer” seal (Section 25).
After you pass
For December 2025 passers, online registration opens January 30, 2026. PRC then sets the oath-taking. You must take the professional oath before you start to practice (Section 19). After that, you receive your certificate of registration and your PRC ID. You also get your own seal (Section 25).

Three licenses, three lists
For takers, these aeronautical engineer board exam results settle one thing: whether your name made PRC’s list. If it did, the oath comes next. If not, the next exam date does.
For students and parents, keep one fact in mind. The PRC license, the CAAP mechanic license, and the pilot license are three different things.
