How do I find my name in the passers list?
Tap the passers list button above. The file is a PDF you can search. On a phone, open the browser menu and pick “Find in page.” Type your full name first. If nothing comes up, try your surname only. A missing middle name can hide a match.
This list covers one exam only: the Psychometricians Licensure Examination, or PmLE. The psychologist exam has the same board but a separate list. In September 2026, its results came out first, on September 21. That exam had 490 of 560 passing.
Latest results: September 2026 Psychometricians
The September 2026 Psychometricians results came out on September 23, 2026, three working days after the last exam day. That is a day faster than September 2025. The exam was given in 17 testing centers all over the Philippines. 14,146 of the 15,423 examinees passed, a 91.72% passing rate. PRC withheld the results of 1 examinee pending review of their cases.
Board of Psychology members: Hon. Miriam P. Cue, Chairperson and Hon. Hector M. Perez, Member. For September 2026 passers, online registration opens September 29, 2026. The oath-taking is set for October 14 (Cebu), October 22 (Iloilo) and November 7, 2026 (Davao City), per PRC's October 2 notice.
How the latest results compare
Compared with September 2025, the passing rate went up 4.74 points. It is the highest rate in our records since August 2024. A year earlier, September 2025 posted 86.98%. 1,148 more examinees took this batch than September 2025.
Psychometrician board exam results since 2014
September 2026 had a 91.72% passing rate. That is the highest of the 11 regular exams since the first one in 2014. PRC’s own reports give these totals:
- 2014 (October): 1,290 of 3,283 (39.29%).
- 2015 (July): 2,061 of 4,466 (46.15%).
- 2016 (August): 3,690 of 7,312 (50.46%).
- 2017 (October): 4,957 of 8,701 (56.97%).
- 2018 (October): 4,035 of 8,453 (47.73%).
- 2019 (October): 6,800 of 10,670 (63.73%).
- 2022 (February): 969 of 2,241 (43.24%).
- 2023 (August): 6,133 of 8,370 (73.27%).
- 2024 (August): 7,478 of 10,717 (69.78%).
- 2025 (September): 12,416 of 14,275 (86.98%).
- 2026 (September): 14,146 of 15,423 (91.72%).
The list skips 2020 and 2021 because of COVID-19. PRC put off the July 2020 exam. Later, it moved the August 2021 exam to 2022. Special exams abroad are left out too. Their groups are tiny, so their rates jump around.
Psychometrician vs psychologist: what each license allows
Both licenses come from the same board, but they cover different work. A psychometrician gives and scores certain tests and writes the report. A licensed psychologist always supervises that work. A psychologist may also counsel, give therapy, and run full assessments.
The law that draws the line is Republic Act No. 10029, the Philippine Psychology Act of 2009. Under Section 3(d), the license lets you:
- give and score objective and structured personality tests (projective tests and other higher-level tests are not allowed);
- explain the results of those tests in a written report; and
- do the first interview with clients before their sessions.
The same section adds one more rule. A licensed psychologist must supervise all of that work, at all times. PRC’s rules for the law go one step further. The supervising psychologist must sign every test report you make. That psychologist also answers for the whole report.
Meanwhile, the psychologist license covers wider work, listed in Section 3(b). It includes counseling, therapy, full testing (projective tests too), and treatment programs. They are two licenses for two jobs. Neither is a lower rank of the other.
This kind of testing work may be in HR offices, school guidance offices, clinics, and hospitals. For the patient’s side, our guide to the PhilHealth mental health benefit shows what PhilHealth pays for.
Who can take the psychometrician board exam?
A bachelor’s degree in psychology leads to the PmLE. A master’s degree leads to the psychologist exam. Section 13 of the law sets four rules for the PmLE:
- You are a Filipino citizen or a permanent resident. A citizen of a country that lets Filipinos practice there also qualifies.
- You hold at least a bachelor’s degree in psychology from a school CHED recognizes, here or abroad. It must include enough units in the exam subjects.
- You have good moral character.
- You have no conviction for a crime of moral turpitude. That means a crime that shows dishonesty or bad character.
The psychologist exam asks for more. Under Section 12, you need at least a master’s degree in psychology. You also need 200 hours or more of supervised training, such as an internship. So a BS Psychology graduate who passes the PmLE becomes a psychometrician. Only holders of the other license may use the title “psychologist.”
Section 15 lists four subjects: Theories of Personality, Abnormal Psychology, Industrial Psychology, and Psychological Assessment. The board may regroup them. So check PRC’s latest exam program before you review.
After you pass: registration and the oath
For September 2026 passers, online registration opens September 29, 2026. For the September 2026 batch, PRC listed what to bring:
- A screenshot of your system-generated registration form.
- A valid government-issued ID.
You must register in person and sign PRC’s roster of professionals. You also take the oath before you may practice (Section 20). After that, PRC gives you a certificate of registration and a PRC ID. The ID stays valid for three years (Section 21).
Oath-taking dates for the September 2026 batch
On October 2, 2026, PRC set three face-to-face oath sessions for new psychologists and psychometricians:
- Cebu City: October 14.
- Iloilo City: October 22.
- Davao City: November 7, at 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM, Grand Regal Hotel, J.P. Laurel Avenue, Buhangin.
To attend, sign up at online.prc.gov.ph by 12 noon the day before. Wear Filipiniana or barong. Bring your printed oath form with its QR code. Signing up does not save you a seat, though. You still need a ticket, and seats go first come, first served. If you cannot attend, PRC also offers an online or special oath.
For more on the license itself, read what a PRC license covers. Your first job will also need SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG numbers. Our guides show how to get an SSS number online, finish your PhilHealth registration, and get your Pag-IBIG MID number. Also, the First Time Jobseekers Act gives first-time job seekers many government papers for free.
For employers: how to verify a psychometrician’s license
Check the PRC registration itself, not the passers list. A name on the list proves an exam result. However, it does not prove the person has registered and taken the oath. Both come before practice.
- Search the person on PRC’s license check page, by name or license number.
- Make sure the profession reads “Psychometrician.” Then check the license details and the ID’s expiry date.
- Remember the supervision rule. They work under a licensed psychologist, who signs each test report.
Also, PRC warns that its online records may have errors or update late. So if a search finds nothing, check again. Then ask PRC to confirm before you decide. Signed papers should also show the registration number, the ID dates, and a tax receipt number (Section 22).
If your name is not on the list
Start with the next exam date and its filing deadline. PRC has not posted the 2027 schedule yet. Until it does, the box below stays empty.
PRC held recent exams in August 2024 and September 2025. In 2026, the exam was first set for August 20. Heavy monsoon rain then pushed it to September 2, on the advice of the national disaster council. Later, floods in Central Luzon moved the Pampanga center to September 18. In short, past months are no promise. Wait for PRC’s dates, and do not plan around last year’s deadline.
You apply online at online.prc.gov.ph. PRC’s list of requirements says which papers to send. Its exam schedule gives the filing period.
The retake rule in RA 10029
To pass, you need an average of at least 75%, with no subject below 60% (Section 18). The same section has a special rule. Say your average reached 75%, but a subject fell below 60%. Then you may retake only the low subjects within two years. You pass once each retaken subject reaches 75%. This rule does not cover everyone who failed. So check your official ratings first, on the “Verification of Rating” tab of PRC’s license check page. You will need your application number and birthdate. The law sets no limit on how many times you may take the exam.
For now, check your ratings and PRC’s next schedule for your retake steps and deadline. Some people take many tries. One teacher’s story of passing on the 17th attempt shows how that road can look.
Special exams abroad
PRC also holds a separate special exam for Filipinos abroad. In May 2026, 4 of 5 passed in Singapore and Taipei. These special batches appear in the archive below, marked “special.” They stay out of the national trend.

Frequently asked questions about the psychometrician board exam
When were the September 2026 Psychometricians results released?
PRC released the September 2026 Psychometricians results on September 23, 2026. 14,146 out of 15,423 passed (91.72%). That was three working days after the last exam day.Is a psychometrician the same as a psychologist?
No. Both licenses come from the Board of Psychology, but the work differs. A psychometrician gives and scores objective and structured personality tests, writes the report, and does intake interviews. A licensed psychologist supervises that work and signs the reports. A psychologist may also counsel, give psychotherapy, and run full assessments (RA 10029, Section 3).
Who can take the PmLE?
You need at least a bachelor’s degree in psychology from a CHED-recognized school. You also need good moral character and no conviction for a crime involving moral turpitude. Finally, you must be a Filipino citizen or a permanent resident. People from countries that let Filipinos practice there also qualify (RA 10029, Section 13).
What happens if I fail the PmLE?
You may take the next exam; the law sets no limit on attempts. If your average hit 75% but a subject fell below 60%, you may retake just those subjects within two years. You pass once each one reaches 75% (RA 10029, Section 18).
How do I check if a psychometrician is licensed?
Look up the name or license number at verification.prc.gov.ph. Check that the profession says Psychometrician. A name on the passers list alone does not prove the person has registered and taken the oath.
When is the next psychometrician board exam?
PRC has not posted the 2027 schedule yet. PRC held the recent regular exams in August 2024, September 2025, and September 2026. Only PRC’s schedule confirms the next date and filing deadline.
One list, many next steps
Each release of the psychometrician board exam results answers one question for its takers. If you passed, registration and the oath come next. If not, the next PRC schedule starts the clock again.
