✅ Official results: released December 11, 2025
1,475 of 2,494 passed (59.14%).
How do I find my name in the passers list?
Tap the passers list button above, then search the PDF for your full name. Phones have a “Find in page” option in the browser menu for this. No match? Search your surname alone, since PRC sometimes spells names differently.
Before the results come out
Until release day, the box at the top shows the date PRC is aiming for. A screenshot saying “results are out” proves nothing until PRC’s own list appears. Once PRC posts it, the PDF buttons above update on their own.
The law gives the Board ten days after the exam to send the ratings to PRC (Section 19). In practice, PRC released the December 2024 results in two working days and the December 2025 results in three. Past speed is a guide, though, not a promise.
Latest results: December 2025 Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers
The December 2025 Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers results came out on December 11, 2025, three working days after the last exam day. That is a day slower than December 2024. Testing took place in NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Rosales, Tacloban and Tuguegarao. 1,475 of the 2,494 examinees passed, a 59.14% passing rate.
The Board of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering gave the exam: Engr. Ariodear C. Rico, Chairman; Engr. Sherwin O. Valdez and Engr. Caesar Joventino M. Tado, Members. For December 2025 passers, online registration opens January 12, 2026.
How the latest results compare
Compared with December 2024, the passing rate went up 2.80 points. It is the highest rate in our records since September 2023. A year earlier, December 2024 posted 56.34%. 131 fewer examinees took this batch than December 2024.
Agricultural and biosystems engineer or agriculturist?
The two titles share the word “agriculture,” but they are different licenses with different boards and different lists. A nephew of mine is studying agriculture, and he is the reason this page draws the line here. One line each:
- Agricultural and biosystems engineer: a PRC engineering license under Republic Act No. 10915. The work is engineering for farms and food, such as irrigation, farm machines, farm buildings, and postharvest facilities (Section 5).
- Agriculturist: a PRC license for growing crops and raising animals, under Republic Act No. 12215 and a different board. See our agriculturist board exam results.
- Irrigation also involves civil engineering, which has its own board and its own civil engineer results.
- Machines also involve mechanical engineering, which has its own board and its own mechanical engineer results.
What does the license cover?
Section 5 of RA 10915 lists the work. It covers designs, plans, and studies for irrigation, drainage, and soil and water conservation. It also covers farm power and machinery, farm buildings, and processing and postharvest facilities. Supervising, testing, and inspecting that work counts too, and so does teaching the course.
A licensed engineer stamps their plans and specifications with their seal. Government offices may not accept, endorse, or pay for these farm-engineering plans unless a registered agricultural and biosystems engineer signed and sealed them (Section 27). Also, under Section 33, only licensed engineers may hold government and private positions whose work is agricultural and biosystems engineering.
Next agricultural and biosystems engineering board exam schedule
The next Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers exam is scheduled for November 19 to 20, 2026, based on PRC's 2026 schedule of examinations. Applications open August 21, 2026 and close October 20, 2026. PRC targets releasing the results by November 24, 2026.
The law does not say how often the exam runs; PRC sets the schedule. In recent years it held one exam a year: September in 2023, December in 2024 and 2025, then November 19 and 20, 2026. The 2026 filing deadline was October 20. A blank schedule box means PRC has not announced the next exam yet; the date shows up here on its own when it does.
Who can take the exam?
Section 15 of RA 10915 sets three requirements. You need all three:
- Filipino citizenship. A foreigner may apply only if their country gives Filipinos the same right.
- A BS in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering or its equivalent. The older BS in Agricultural Engineering also counts, under the terms of Section 15.
- Good moral character.
There is no way around the exam for new applicants. Section 14 requires every applicant to take and pass it.
What is on the exam, and how is it scored?
The exam takes two days and has three subject groups. You need a 70% average with no subject below 55%. The law lists nine subject areas, but it lets the Board group and update them. So the list below comes from PRC’s program for the December 2024 exam:
- Structures, environment, and bioprocess engineering: 36%
- Land and water resources engineering: 32%
- Power, energy, and machinery engineering: 32%
Section 18 also has a rule most results pages skip. Say your average is 70% or higher, but one subject is below 55%. Then you retake only that subject, and you need at least 55% in it.
If your name is not on the list
First, note the next exam and its filing deadline in the schedule box above. PRC has held this exam once a year lately, so plan on about a year.
RA 10915 does set a retake rule (Section 20). After a third failed attempt, you must wait one year and finish a refresher program at an accredited institution before you try again. Use the waiting time to complete any requirement you still lack, and keep your papers in one folder for the next application. Not passing does not block you from working in the meantime. For job applications, the First Time Jobseekers Act lets first-time job seekers get many government documents free.
The pass rates of the last three exams are below.
How do I check if an agricultural and biosystems engineer is licensed?
Use PRC’s free license search at verification.prc.gov.ph. Choose the profession, enter the engineer’s first and last name, and look for an active license. Our guide on what a PRC license covers explains the license itself. An engineer’s plans also carry their seal, license number, and tax receipt number (Sections 27 and 28).
After you pass
For December 2025 passers, online registration opens January 12, 2026. An oath-taking date follows from PRC. You must take the oath before you start to practice (Section 21). After that, you receive your certificate of registration and your PRC ID, and you may use “Engr.” before your name (Section 22). The ID is renewed every three years.
Your first job will ask for an SSS number, which you can get online. We also track other engineering boards, such as the aeronautical engineer results, electrical engineer results, and chemical engineer results.

One word, two boards
If you took the exam, these agricultural engineering board exam results answer the one question that matters: is your name on PRC’s list? A yes leads to the oath; a no leads to the next filing deadline.
If you are still choosing a course, remember this much. The agricultural and biosystems engineer license and the agriculturist license share a word, not a board.
All the boards we follow are listed on our PRC board exam results page.
