A childcare provider from General Trias City, Cavite province, who won the PHP23 million Super Lotto 6/49 jackpot, had a prosperous start to the new year.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) revealed in a statement on Monday that the jackpot prize winner of Dec. 11, 2022, Super Lotto draw claimed the sum of PHP 23,971,499 on Dec. 23 at the agency’s main office.
03-24-07-41-11-16 was the winning combination after the draw.
The lotto winner claimed that the number sequence was generated from loved ones’ birthdays and ages.
“Previously, I didn’t think the lottery was real, but now I can say it is. I give thanks to the Lord and, of course, to all the other bettors who encouraged me to do the same. I appreciate PCSO, please. You will experience it if it is God’s timing,” she said.
She said, “I would want to buy a pair of really comfy shoes,” when asked what she planned to do with her windfall. I definitely need a pair of comfortable shoes because I work with a lot of students at the daycare facility.
According to Republic Act No. 1169, winners have one year from the drawing date to collect their prizes in order to avoid forfeiting their earnings.
All lottery jackpot awards must be picked up at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City, which is located along Shaw Boulevard.
Winners must write their names and signatures on the reverse of the winning ticket, show two forms of government-issued identification, and claim their winnings.
The general public is also reminded that, in accordance with the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, rewards above PHP10,000 are subject to a 20% tax.
To raise more money for health initiatives, medical support and services, and charitable organizations, the PCSO is pleading with the public to play its games.
