✅ Official results: released November 11, 2025
945 of 1,361 passed (69.43%).
Why I wrote this page
I don’t know anyone who took this board exam. Nobody in my family studied nutrition and dietetics, either. My only link is my own plate. I follow a low-carb, keto way of eating. I learn it from doctor vloggers and fitness coaches online.
For years, I never checked who was licensed. When a caption said “nutritionist,” I noticed the word and moved on. A doctor’s title felt official because I knew it. But that recognition is a habit, not a rule.
So this page does two jobs. It lists the official results for takers and their families. It also shows readers like me how to check an RND license. You won’t find diet advice here, since that work belongs to licensed professionals.
Latest results: November 2025 Nutritionist-Dietitians
PRC released the November 2025 Nutritionist-Dietitians results on November 11, 2025, one working day after the last exam day. That is two days faster than November 2024. Examinees took the test in NCR, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga and Rosales. 945 of the 1,361 examinees passed, a 69.43% passing rate. PRC withheld the results of 1 examinee pending review of their cases.
PRC opens online registration for new November 2025 passers on December 10, 2025.
How the latest results compare
Compared with November 2024, the passing rate went down 0.29 points. A year earlier, November 2024 posted 69.73%. 152 more examinees took this batch than November 2024.
Both years, about 7 in 10 takers passed. That still leaves roughly 400 takers each year whose names are not on the list.
Unlike 2024, the 2025 results called it a computer-based exam.
What can a registered nutritionist-dietitian do?
The answer is in the Nutrition and Dietetics Law of 2016 (Republic Act No. 10862). Section 26 lists the work, whether it is paid or not:
- Treating and preventing disease through diet. The law calls this medical nutrition therapy.
- Improving people’s health through food products, programs, and services.
- Promoting good nutrition for people, groups, and whole communities.
- Setting nutrition standards, guidelines, and policies.
- Managing food and nutrition systems, such as food services and nutrition programs.
- Doing food and nutrition research.
- Finally, teaching others about food and nutrition.
Section 27 then adds two rules. First, the Department of Health decides how many RNDs each type of hospital or health facility needs. Second, official job positions titled “nutritionist-dietitian,” “nutritionist,” or “dietitian” must go to RNDs.
One-on-one diet advice, the kind I was looking for, is only one part of this list. The license covers much more.
Is “nutritionist” a protected title?
The full title is. Section 39 of RA 10862 makes it a crime to use the title “Nutritionist-Dietitian” without a license. The same goes for any word or sign that makes people think you are one. Ads saying you can do an RND’s work count too.
The penalty is a fine of at least ₱300,000, at least six months in jail, or both. Doing RND work without a license is also a crime. So is pretending to be an RND.
What about “certified nutritionist,” “holistic nutritionist,” or “health coach”? These labels are not the same credential as RND. Whether a certain label breaks the law is for PRC and the courts to decide. For you, the test is simpler: is the person on PRC’s list?
I used to think the word was open to anyone, like “fitness coach.” It isn’t. Our guide on what a PRC license covers explains the license card itself.
How to check if someone is a registered nutritionist-dietitian
Use PRC’s online license check at verification.prc.gov.ph. In December 2025, PRC told the public to verify licenses there and nowhere else. You can search in three ways:
- Name search: pick the profession, then type the person’s first and last name.
- License number search: pick the profession, then enter the license number and the person’s birthdate.
- Barcode scan: point a phone or computer camera at the barcode on their digital PRC ID.
Most of us won’t know a stranger’s birthdate, so the name search is the easy one. However, PRC warns that its online records can have errors or delays. If a name doesn’t show up, ask the person for their license number before you assume anything.
There are two more clues. RNDs must write their registration number and PRC ID expiry date on documents they sign (Section 34). They must also post their certificate in their office or keep it on file (Section 35).
Who can take the nutritionist-dietitian board exam?
Section 15 of RA 10862 lists four requirements:
- First, you must be a Filipino citizen. A foreigner can qualify only if their country gives Filipinos the same right.
- You also need good moral character.
- Next, you need a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics (or an equal course) recognized by CHED.
- Lastly, no court has found you guilty of a crime involving moral turpitude. This means a crime that shows dishonesty or bad character.
PRC’s list of requirements adds the papers. You need a PSA birth certificate, your transcript of records marked “For Board Examination Purposes,” and a valid NBI clearance. Married women add a PSA marriage contract if they use their married name. The exam fee is ₱900.
What does the nutritionist-dietitian licensure exam cover?
The law names three areas, and PRC’s program for November 2026 follows them. The exam takes two days, on computers:
- Nutritional Biochemistry and Clinical Dietetics (day 1 morning, 35%): how the body uses food, plus diets for patients.
- Community and Public Health Nutrition (day 1 afternoon, 30%): nutrition programs for groups and communities.
- Foods and Food Service Systems (day 2 morning, 35%): food itself, and how food services like hospital or school kitchens are run.
Takers may bring one non-programmable calculator. On the other hand, phones, smartwatches, notes, and bags are not allowed in the exam area.
Next nutritionist-dietitian board exam schedule
The next Nutritionist-Dietitians exam is scheduled for November 12 to 13, 2026, based on PRC's 2026 schedule of examinations. Applications open August 14, 2026 and close October 13, 2026. PRC targets releasing the results by November 17, 2026.
PRC has held this exam once a year, in November, in 2024, 2025, and 2026. The law itself does not say how often (Section 14).
This part of the page only shows a new date after PRC announces it. That way, you never see an old date by mistake.
How is the NDLE scored?
To pass, you need a weighted average of at least 75%, with no subject below 50% (Section 17).
The partial retake rule
Unlike some boards, this law has a partial retake. Say you miss the 75% average, but you score at least 75% in at least half of the subjects. With three subjects, that means two. Then you may retake only the subjects below 75%, within two years.
PRC calls this a conditioned or removal exam, and its fee is ₱450. However, if you fail those subjects again, you must take all the subjects next time.
The law also gives the Board 10 days after the last exam day to submit the ratings (Section 18). In practice, PRC released the 2025 results in one working day.
After you pass
PRC opens online registration for new November 2025 passers on December 10, 2025. You register online on PRC’s website. Then you sign the Roster of Registered Professionals in person, which is PRC’s official list of licensed professionals. You also take your oath (Section 19), and PRC announces that date later.
After that, your PRC ID must be renewed every three years. To renew it, you need continuing education credits, called CPD (Section 20). From then on, your registration number goes on every document you sign as an RND.
Next, prepare your papers for your first job: your SSS number, your Pag-IBIG MID number, and your PhilHealth registration. Under the First Time Jobseekers Assistance Act, first-time job seekers can get many government papers for free, one time only. These include NBI and police clearances. However, this law does not cover PRC exam fees (Section 8).
If your name is not on the list
Not seeing your name is a result, not a story. About 400 takers each year are in the same spot. First, check your ratings with PRC’s Verification of Rating tool on the same site.
If you scored at least 75% in two of the three subjects, you may retake only the rest within two years. Otherwise, you apply for the full exam again. Since PRC has held it once a year, the next one is usually a year away.

Two kinds of readers, one check

Maybe you came here looking for a source, like I did. Then use PRC’s license check before you treat a “nutritionist” label as an RND. The doctors and coaches can stay. The check was the missing step.
